Feifei Pan received his Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering (Major: Hydrology and Water Resources, Minor: Remote Sensing and GIS) from Georgia Institute of Technology in 2002. From 2002 to 2004, he worked at Oak Ridge National Laboratory of Department of Energy (DOE) as a postdoctoral fellow. Prior to joining Department of Geography at UNT, Pan was a research scientist in School of Civil & Environmental Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology. Feifei Pan's research centers on application of theories, numerical models, remote sensing, and GIS techniques to environmental studies, i.e., water resource, hydrology, meteorology, and climate. Especially, he has focused on the five areas in recent years: 1) soil moisture dynamics, 2) surface water and groundwater interaction, 3) surface water quality modeling, 4) remote sensing and GIS, and 5) visualization and numerical modeling of vegetation dynamics and snow process. For more details about his teaching, research, and service, you can go to his webpage Teaching, Research, and Service.
