WebCT Tutorial
WebCT at UNT is the web based course delivery system of UNT. Many UNT instructors have been using it to either provide a class online or assist teaching a class. The benefits of using WebCT at UNT for your study are many, including the availability of course materials online, flexibility of setting your time and place for study, and provision of a suite of tools for communicating with your instructor and classmates, tracking your academic progress, and scheduling your activities.
There are some basic requirements for using WebCT at UNT. First, you need to be a student registered in the course for which WebCT services are offered, such as GEOG 1170. Second, you need to have a computer with the Internet access anywhere in the world and an adequate Internet browser (such as Netscape 4.05 or up and Internet Explorer 5.x or up). Most home computers nowadays are equipped with these components. The computers in any General Access Lab on campus may access WebCT at UNT as well. Some of these computer labs are open 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. Third, you need to have a WebCT ID and password to login to your WebCT account for the specific course you are enrolled in. Normally your WebCT ID is your EUID, and your password is your student ID without dashes.
