Joshua Hodge:  Joshua  graduated from the research masters program in Spring 2016.  His thesis topic was the dynamics of long-term marsh sedimentation on the McFaddin National Wildlife Refuge, Texas. He used storm surge sediment beds deposited by Hurricane Audrey (1957), Hurricane Carla (1961), Hurricane Rita (2005) and Hurricane Ike (2008) as marker beds to calculate hurricane sedimentation and marsh sedimentation, and how they have changed over the last 60 years. Josh went on to the PhD program at Texas State University.

Patrick Elliot: Patrick graduated from the research masters program in Spring 2018. His  thesis project was "Evaluating Sea-level Rise Hazards on Coastal Archaeological Sites, Trinity Bay, Texas.."  Patrick used GIS and numerical modeling to evaluate hazards to archaeological sites. 
Bradley Rains: Bradley graduated from the Master's program in the summer of 2020. Bradley's thesis topic revolved around Hurricane Harvey washover and dune erosion on Matagorda Island, Texas.
Chelsea Beaubouef: Chelsea graduated from the Master's program in 2021. Her thesis involving the use of XRF analysis to
discriminate between marine and terrestrial sediment beds in coastal marshes and lakes.
Anna Guidry: Anna is working on Hurricane Harvey sedimentation in southeastern Texas. She is expecting to graduate in fall 2026.
 I supervise graduate students working on a variety of thesis research topics; recent examples include:
* Impact of urbanization on storm response of White Rock Creek, Dallas
* GIS Modeling of Wetlands Elevation Change In Response To Projected Sea Level Rise, Trinity Bay, Texas.
* Shoreline Erosion at Mad Island Marsh Preserve, Matagorda County, Texas
* Sediment runoff from natural gas well sites in Denton County, Texas
* Examining the role of latitude and differential insolation in asymmetrical valley development
* Hurricane Rita storm surge sedimentation in Louisiana coastal woodlands and marshes
* Hurricane Ike storm surge sedimentation in Texas coastal marshes
