I am a Professor in the
Department of Geography and the Environment at the
University of North Texas (UNT). I received my B.Sc. from
Peking University, China, my M.Sc. from the
Institute of Remote Sensing Applications,
Chinese Academy of Sciences, and my Ph.D. from the
University of New Brunswick in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada.
Before joining UNT, I was a Staff Associate and GIS Specialist at the
Center for International Earth Science Information Network (CIESIN) at
Columbia University. I also worked as a Senior GIS Analyst/Programmer
with Titan Corporation in
California and Okinawa, Japan.
