Research:

  • My research interests include geographic information science/system (GIS) and remote sensing, including multispectral, hyperspectral, radar, and LiDAR technologies. Since 2009, I have focused on light detection and ranging (LiDAR) data analysis and its applications in forestry and vegetation mapping, urban environments, disaster damage assessment, and geosciences. Below are examples of my research projects. I welcome conversations with prospective graduate students in geography/geoscience, environmental science, and computer science and engineering about potential research opportunities.
